We had a bit of a scare last night. At the weekly perinatal visit, our doctor was having some trouble getting a good measurement of the baby’s breathing rate. Apparantly approaching birth, the baby will “practice breathe“, the diaphragm movement can be detected on the ultrasound…. in our case nothing was happening.

So, being 35 weeks along, he sent us to the hospital for the non stress test monitoring. Everything turned out fine, she was released after about an hour.

We did get some cool information though, it looks like he’s ready to be born soon! Check out these pics, the graph on the bottom shows some very light contractions and after the examination last night, we found out she’s slightly dilated also. Days, weeks? Who knows!
